About My Twenty Seconds

My Twenty Seconds is unlike any career exploration course. While we do spend time on the basics of personalities, education for career choice, and how to write a professional email, we also focus on making connections to the industry of the student's choice and create a clear plan for high school.

One thing I have learned along my career journey is that clarity comes from action. The more we put ourselves out there, the more we realize what we love to do and what we just tolerate. As a parent myself, I always wanted my son to follow his passions and create an epic life he loves. So from the moment, he was little, we explored his interests. He tried soccer, baseball, swimming, art, dance, acting, and so much more.

At age five, he decided he wanted to be an actor, so we went for it. Through his acting experiences, he decided he would like to try filmmaking. In 2017, at age seven, he wrote, acted, and produced his own short film. This led him to become the youngest filmmaker ever accepted into the Nashville Film Festival, even winning an award at the festival. This was just the beginning!

In 2020, at age 12, he was asked to do short-form content for an educational company's social media platforms. He continues to gain valuable experience from each opportunity that comes his way. As he gains more experience, his interests continue to develop. He is now looking into video game design and animal rescue, and we have started exploring those career paths too.

These life experiences my son has had are what My Twenty Seconds is all about. Every child should have an opportunity to explore their career paths and really fine-tune their interests before they have to decide on a college major or life plan. My Twenty Seconds will give your child the confidence and courage to fulfill their career dreams and help develop a roadmap to make it happen.

In the movie We Bought a Zoo, Benjamin Mee says, "You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it." My son's experiences came with the courage of saying yes. Now it's your child's time to say yes to their dreams, yes to opportunities, and yes to an epic life!
